At the recent EICMA motorcycle show in Milan, BMW Motorrad took the wraps off the new 2015 S1000XR, a sport-touring bike with the upright ergonomics and rugged looks of an ADV machine. While BMW traditionalists might scoff at the new XR, saying that the boxer-powered R1200GS and R1200RS work just fine as sport-tourers, this new Beemer undoubtedly will cover lots of real estate in a hurry, thanks to a 160-horsepower inline-four that has been sourced from the sporty S1000R.
