In this latest installment from Kawasaki, we learn how the company’s Gas Turbine & Machinery corporation has played a role in the development of the supercharged H2 motorcycle engine. Specifically, in the prevention of combustion knock, which is always a concern with supercharged engines. Again, there are some nice graphics at work here, and another highlight is seeing Kawasaki’s 18-cylinder Green Gas turbine, a 7.5-megawatt powerplant that’s considered one of the most efficient electrical generators in the world. It has individual knock control for each of its 18 cylinders.
